Obituary for Timothy Alan Goodman

Timothy Alan  Goodman
Timothy Alan Goodman, 54, of Remington, passed away at his home on May 23, 2017. He was born in Kankakee, Illinois on January 14, 1963 to Terry Leo Goodman and Patricia Jeanne (Lamb) Carlson.

Tim graduated from Benton Central High School with the Class of 1981. After high school he served six years in the Marine Corps. He was a rifleman stationed in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii and served one tour of duty in the Persian Gulf. He earned a Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal and Meritorious Unit Citation, Rifle Marksman Badge and Pistol Sharpshooters Badge.

Tim worked as a cook at several area restaurants. He was a hard worker and was very generous with his friends and family. He loved animals, especially his boxer, Jerk. He was a big WWE wrestling and NASCAR fan who loved to camp and fish.

Tim is survived by: his parents, Terry Goodman of Fowler and Patricia Carlson of Oxford; and seven brothers and sisters: Lisa Goodman (husband: Roger) of Evansville, Aimee Green (husband: Rod) of Boswell, Mickie Gasch of Brook, Aaron Goodman of Kansas, Nora Davidson of Earl Park, Jeremy Carlson (wife: Kristi) of Idaho, and Kiellie Wiegers (husband: Bob) of Kansas.

He was preceded in death by: his step-mother, Celeste Goodman; his brother, Terry Patrick Goodman; and his grandparents.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life gathering at the Earl Park Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 10th from 2-4 p.m. EDT. The church is located at 108 N. Elm St, Earl Park, IN 47942. Share memories and condolences online at www.SteinkeFuneralHome.com.
