Obituary for Kevin James Elijah

Kevin James  Elijah
Kevin James Elijah, 51, of Morocco, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 2, 2018. He was born on November 16, 1966, the son of Patricia Sophia (Cherveny) Strong and Alex James Elijah, Sr. He was a graduate of North Newton High School where he played football. He went on to study business at Purdue University and St. Joseph’s College.

Kevin was a farmer who loved being outdoors. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, gardening, cooking, and spending time with his dog, Sonny. He was the owner of Elijah Trucking, which he operated for several years.

Kevin is survived by: his mother, Patricia Strong (husband: Steven); his father, Alex James Elijah, Sr. (wife: Karen); his special lady, Samantha Pate; his son, Brent; his step-daughter, Daly Pate; his brother, Alex James “Jim” Elijah, Jr. (significant other: Kristen Stamper); his half-sister, Kelcey; and his niece, Morgan Elijah.

He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Victor and Lois Elijah; and his nephew, Alex James Elijah III.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco with Rev. Wayne Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
