Obituary for Donna Faye Falk (Bennett)

Donna Faye Falk, 81, of Morocco, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at the Rensselaer Care Center. She was born in Enos, Indiana on September 25, 1933, daughter of the late Henry and Rebecca (St. Peter) Bennett. She was a lifelong Newton County resident.

On October 21, 1950, in Lowell, Indiana, she married Vernon J. Falk, Jr. Donna worked at Per Pak in Foresman for 10 years and as a cook in the cafeteria at the Morocco School for 12 years. She was a member of the United Church of Morocco. She enjoyed reading, traveling, wintering in Alabama, and her animals.

Donna is survived by her loving husband, Vernon J. Falk, Jr. of Morocco; one daughter, Becky (Max) Prouty of Rensselaer; five grandchildren: Heather (John) Steinmueller of Dyer, Tracey (Darrin) Studder of Mississippi, Stephanie (Craig) Green of Monticello, Missy (Clay) Whaley of Rensselaer, and Jay Prouty of Indianapolis; ten great grandchildren: Spencer Christen of Peoria, Illinois, Abby Ulm of Rensselaer, Sydney Christen of Dyer, Devin Ulm of Rensselaer, Shelby Prouty of Peoria, Illinois, Sean Whaley of Rensselaer, Jadelyn Viney of Monticello, Kayli Schaefer of Columbus, Indiana, Cole Viney of Monticello, and Skyler Castagna of Peoria, Illinois; two great-great grandchildren, Landon Walinski and Leighton Walinski of Dyer; and one sister, Shirley White of Orlando, Florida.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; one son, Jeffery A. Falk; and one granddaughter, Chiela Prouty.

Friends may call on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco. Funeral services will be held at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Royal Voeller officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. Following interment, a luncheon will be held at the Beaver Township Community Center in Morocco. Memorials are suggested to the Jasper County Animal Shelter or the Newton County Animal Shelter.
