Obituary for H. Jeanette Wheeldon

H. Jeanette Wheeldon, 80, of Shelbyville, Indiana, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016, at Major Hospital. She was born July 16, 1936, to William Timmons and Jessie (Wood) Timmons in Jasper County. She married Raymond Duane Wheeldon on July 24, 1953, and he preceded her in death June 4, 1993.

Survivors include four children: Nancy Wuethrich and husband, Brad, of Greeley, Colorado; Steven Wheeldon and partner, Marchella Spivey, of Shelbyville; Peggy Phares and husband, Jeff, of Shelbyville; and Debbie Yates and husband, Jim, of Monticello, Kentucky; several nephews, including James Boles of Rensselaer and Bill Boles of Elkhart, whom she helped raise; 14 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, William Timmons; sisters, Jane Olsen and Pauline Snedeker; and grandson, Patrick Wuethrich.

Mrs. Wheeldon had lived in Shelbyville since 1971 after moving from Rensselaer. She was a nurse’s aide, caregiver and homemaker. She was an avid Indiana Pacers and Indiana University basketball fan. She loved camping and traveling. Jeanette loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

Graveside memorial services will be at 1 p.m. (CDT) Sunday, September 25, 2016, at Welsh Cemetery in Jasper County.
