Obituary for Bonnie Jean Hoskins (Lanning)

Bonnie Jean  Hoskins (Lanning)
Bonnie Jean Hoskins, 87, of Midlothian, Virginia, formerly of Morocco, Indiana, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Spring Arbor of Salisbury Assisted Living in Midlothian, Virginia. She was born on September 10, 1930 in Rensselaer, Indiana, the daughter of Russell and Ruby (Turner) Lanning. She was a graduate of Morocco High School. On December 6, 1951, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, she married Paul E. Hoskins. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2009. Bonnie spent most of her life living in Morocco until moving to Virginia in 2011.

Bonnie worked as a bookkeeper at Milt Storey Implement and Allen’s IGA Store in Morocco. She was a member of the Morocco First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting and she was a big IU basketball fan. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and her precious grandchildren.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Polly Conover and her husband Mitch of Midlothian, Virginia; and three grandchildren: Matthew Conover, Daniel Conover, and William Conover.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Paul Hoskins; her parents, Russell and Ruby Lanning; her brother, Howard Jess Lanning; and her sister, Jean Peck.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 12 p.m. (CDT) at Russell Chapel Cemetery, Morocco, Indiana. Rev. Wayne Williams officiating. Steinke Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Share memories and condolences at www.SteinkeFuneralHome.com.
