Obituary for Albert Lee Sutherlin

Albert Lee Sutherlin, 79, of Fair Oaks, passed away July 14, 2015. He was born in Gary on January 12, 1936 to the late Clyde and Marie (Utley) Sutherlin.

He attended Mt. Ayr Schools and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Albert married Faye Ellen “Brick” on October 5, 1956. He worked as a Millwright for 30 years at Bethleham Steel and also worked for Milt Storey Implement.

Albert enjoyed working on antique tractors, gardening and woodworking.

He is survived by his loving family; daughters: Cherri McMahan (Robert), Tammy Berwick; son: Albert Sutherlin Jr. (Deanna); Grandchildren: Johnny, Tyler B., Mallory, Tyler M. , Briana, Dani, Jessica, Griffin, Allee, and Kylee; Great-Grandchildren: Prestyn, Hayden, Avionna, Karson, Zianna, Lain and Sean; sister: Virginia Baker (Charles).

He is preceded in death by: wife, Faye; his parents, Clyde and Marie Sutherlin; sister, Loretta Ritter; daughter: Carol, and infant son.

Friends may call on Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 12 noon (CST) until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco. Pastor Duane Abston officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. Share memories and condolences at www.SteinkeFuneralHome.com.
