Obituary for Anita Marie Harsha (Williams)

Anita Marie Harsha, 78, of Remington, Indiana passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 10, 2022. She was born in Rensselaer on June 29, 1943, the daughter of Harold and Elizabeth (Unger) Williams. She was a 1961 graduate of Brook High School. On February 27, 1963, in Rensselaer, she married Ralph W. Harsha. He preceded her in death on December 1, 2010.

Anita worked as an administrative secretary at St. Joseph’s College. She and her husband had owned and operated Little Creek Campground. Anita enjoyed camping, crocheting and knitting.

She is survived by two children, Brenda Harsha and Mark Harsha; three grandchildren: McKenzie Harsha, Maxwell Harsha, and Tillie Harsha; two great-grandchildren, AnDreah Best and Calvin Best IV; five sisters: Nancy Jo (Robert) Prue, Shirley Penny, Betty (Lewis) Warren, Ruth (Dennis) Moore, and Jane (Jonathan) Dougherty; and one brother, William (Cindy) Williams.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Harsha; son David Harsha; parents Harold and Elizabeth Williams; and brother Charles Williams.

The family is planning a celebration of life for a later date. Private burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer’s Association. Steinke Funeral Home is honored to be handling the arrangements.
