Obituary for Dennis J. "Denny" David
Dennis J. David, 85, of Morocco, Indiana passed away at his home on Friday, June 17, 2022. He was born in Watseka, Illinois on January 29, 1937 to Denver “Jack” David and Agnes Goldie (Fry) David. He attended Mt. Ayr High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and Vietnam.
On March 22, 1958, he married Royce Anne Luchene at the Church of Christ in Shelby, Indiana. Denny was a carpenter and worked for his brother’s firm, David Enterprises. He built many homes around Crown Point, Indiana. Denny was a Christian who loved the Lord. He was a lifetime member of the VA and he was a longtime member of the Roselawn American Legion. He was a passionate fisherman who enjoyed many fishing trips to Minnesota, and especially enjoyed fishing in the Kankakee River.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Royce David; five children: Nina Neeley, Denver (Zorrinea) David, Laurie (John) Cripe, Dale (Jennifer) David, and Georgia (Joe) Kenney. Twelve grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Glen David.
