Obituary for George William Daniels
George William Daniels, 70, of Rensselaer, passed away at his home on Monday, evening, March 2, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born in Rensselaer on May 31, 1949 to Helen Catherine (Loetz) Daniels and the late Clarence Lawson Daniels. He was a graduate of Rensselaer Central High School.
On July 2, 1977, in Rensselaer, he married Theresa Jo Cooper. George worked as a fabricator for the Earl Soesbe Company. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a fan of old western movies starring John Wayne and The Lone Ranger. He most cherished time spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Theresa Daniels; two sons, Bert (Jordan) Daniels and Brad Daniels; four grandchildren: Wyatt Watts and Gradin, Bronx and Rocco Daniels; his mother, Helen Daniels; three brothers: John Daniels, Walter Daniels and Roger (Mary) Daniels; and two sisters, Karen Sue Galbreath and Bonnie James.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Daniels; and one brother, Dale Daniels.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 4-8 p.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer with Rev. Kenin Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Weston Cemetery.
