Obituary for Judith Arlene Ivey (Zea)

Judith Arlene Ivey, 74, of Rensselaer, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Franciscan Health Rensselaer. She was born September 30, 1944, in Rensselaer, to Robert Zea and Esther (Kendall) Zea. She was a lifelong area resident.

Her marriage was to the late Howard Ivey. He preceded her in death in 1976. Also preceding her in death were her parents; daughter Paula Graff; and two brothers, Phillip Zea and Robin Zea.

She is survived by two children, Jennifer (Terry) Boyd and Allen (Misty) Ivey; one brother, Robert (Mildred) Zea; six grandchildren: Jacob, Morgan, Nathanial, Ava, Piper, and Hudson; and one great-granddaughter, Payton.

Judith loved children. She was a foster parent and worked at Christian Haven Home, and also as a teacher’s aide for CDC Resources. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Judith was known for wonderful sense of humor and her infectious laugh.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 11 a.m. until time of funeral at 1 p.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. Zachary Fraley officiating.
