Obituary for Linda Karson-Williams

LINDA KARSON-WILLIAMS age 68 of Rensselaer, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at her home with her family by her side. She was born February, 1950 in Aachen Germany to Pete and Luzia (Niessen) Karson. Linda grew up all over the world and graduated from Arnold Pennsylvania High School in 1968.

In Reno, Nevada December of 1970 she married the love of her life Clyde Williams, who survives. For many years they traveled across the country on a Harley Davidson and finally settled in Rensselaer where they raised their two daughters. Linda worked as a homemaker taking care of her husband and daughters and was also a published author writing columns for the Catholic digest and other publications. She often described her occupation as a self-employed internet drifter. She was a past member of St. Augustine Catholic Church of Rensselaer and past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the local American Legion. She loved to read and study about religion and history. Her brassy nature matched her eccentric clothing style and eclectic decorating. Linda’s kind heart made her known as “Mama” to everyone that knew her.

Linda is survived by her husband Clyde Williams, two daughters: Jessica (Timothy) Wachowiak, and Lucia Williams, two Grandchildren: Eli Antcliff and Klohe Wachowiak. Also surviving are: one sister Martha (Richard) Omilian, one brother Pete Karson, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one niece, Maggie.

Visitation will be Friday, August 24, 2018 from 12 – 2 p.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Williams officiating. Share memories and condolences at www.SteinkeFuneralHome.com.
