Obituary for Marlene D. "Sunny" Shreve (Lawson)

Marlene D. "Sunny"  Shreve (Lawson)
Marlene “Sunny” Shreve, age 61, of Ravenswood, West Virginia, formerly of Indiana, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 after complications from open heart surgery at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.

She was born in Rensselaer, Indiana on May 30, 1956 to Earl and Phyllis (Steinke) Lawson. She was a 1974 graduate of Twin Lakes High School in Monticello, Indiana.

Sunny will be remembered for her charismatic personality and her strong, ardent beliefs.

She is survived by two daughters: Angelica Govaert of Las Vegas, Nevada and Amanda Govaert-Konrath (Ryan) of South Bend, Indiana; her sister, Sharon Gerlach (Chuck) of Idaville, Indiana; her brother, Kevin Lawson (Melinda) of Nashville, Michigan; and her father, Earl Lawson of Nashville, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by: her mother, Phyllis Chicke and her husband, Roy Shreve.

A memorial service for Sunny will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 4 p.m. (Central Time) at Steinke Funeral Home, 403 N. Front St., Rensselaer, Indiana.
