Obituary for Michael R Morgan
Michael Richard Morgan of Morocco, 61, died on Friday, August 1, 2014 at George Ade Memorial Health Care Center. He was born on April 13, 1953 in Rensselaer, IN.
After graduating from North Newton High School in 1971, he began his career in electrical and refrigeration with Camblin Electric. He also worked many years in maintenance for IGA in Morocco, Lake Village, and Roselawn and several years for Newton County. A life long resident of Morocco, Mike was also a member of the Masons-Morocco Lodge No. 372.
He had many passions throughout his life. He enjoyed woodworking, electronics, and home improvement projects, and spending time fishing with local friends. Mike has always been passionate about the stock market and political issues. He enjoyed visiting with friends that stopped by to see him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Morgan Zeider, and father, Archie Morgan. He leaves his sisters, Brenda (Bill) Kramer of Waterford, CT and Kelly (King) Clark of Morocco. Also surviving are two nieces, Megan (Ryan) Dorton of Lafayette, IN and Anna Clark of Coraopolis, PA and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, including lifelong friend, Bill Blaney.
Visitation and services were held Monday, August 4 at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lois Hensel Scholarship Fund. Share memories and condolences online at www.SteinkeFuneralHome.com.
