Paul F. Denham, 77, of Rensselaer, IN passed away peacefully Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021 at Franciscan Health Crown Point. He was born in Donavon, IL on Feb. 21, 1944, son of William S. and Pearl (Sargent) Denham.
Paul F. Denham was a 1962 graduate of Mt. Ayr High School and served in the U.S. Navy full term. He married Brenda Kay Bailey in 1972. After serving his country in the navy, Paul worked at DuPont Chemical in East Chicago for 35 years, retiring in 2002. He was also a real estate agent for Century 21 in DeMotte. He was a member of The Bridge Church in Rensselaer.
Paul was a strong Christian that put his love for the Lord above all, and instilled the love of the Lord in all who he spoke and met with. He proudly served the Lord by sharing the gospel, and Jesus' love with all who crossed his path.
Both Paul and Brenda's fathers were pastors, and their families were God loving people. Together Paul and Brenda shared their strong faith, love of southern gospel music, and love for the Lord.
Paul F. Denham cherished his grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were truly his joy and pride. He enjoyed fishing with family and friends, sharing stories from his childhood, farming and from his time serving in the navy in Vietnam and the Philippines. His stories ranged from funny to inspirational to teaching moments.
He would give the shirt off his back to help somebody in need, and always offered a listening ear. His home was always open for all. He loved engaging in conversations, and knew no stranger. Paul had a great sense of humor, and very much enjoyed teasing those around. He knew just how to put a smile one everyone's face, and get his grand babies giggling. The joy and light he brought to all he knew is immeasurable, and will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Brenda Denham; three children: Pauline (Greg) Bambic, Matthew (Misty) Denham and Andrew (Nour) Denham; three brothers: James Denham, John (Cathy) Denham and Thomas Denham; two sisters, Sarah Reagan and Ruth (Daney) Ferguson; 8 grandchildren: Aaron Bambic, Brandon (Shanice) Bambic, Caleb (Victoria) Coley, Cheyenne (Antonio) Porras, and Delilah, Aiden, Dylan and Zane Denham; and two great-grandchildren, Aurora and Adelaide.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother-in-law, Archie Reagan; and one sister-in-law, Nancy Denham.
