Obituary for Pearl Alma Glenn (Lock)

Pearl Alma Glenn, 81, of Lake Village, Indiana passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday morning, February 19, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born in Morocco, Indiana on September 13, 1938 to Emory Murrell Lock, Sr. and Della Mae (Dandford) Lock. She married Joseph Glenn, Jr. on March 24, 1956. He preceded her in death on September 25, 2002.

Pearl was a homemaker. She was affiliated with the Lake Village Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and socializing at Frankie’s Village Restaurant and Jasper Junction. She will be fondly remembered for her morning posts on Facebook: “Good Morning Facebook Family and Friends”.

She is survived by two children, Steven (Kim) Glenn of North Judson, Indiana and Linda (Kenny) Gordon of Camdenton, Missouri; one sister, Violet Spoor of Lake Village, Indiana; five grandchildren: Matthew Glenn of Michigan, 1st Lt. Thomas (Morgan) Glenn of Georgia, Deborah Gordon (David Rysted) of Missouri, Devin (Hilda) Gordon of Missouri, and Rachel (Sean) McClellan of Texas; nine great-grandchildren: Amelia Glenn, Jace Gordon-Ford, Emily Rysted, Carol Rysted, Joel Gordon, Jaxon Gordon, Mason Glenn, Olivia McClellan and Lucy McClellan. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Glenn, Jr.; one son, Joseph Edward Glenn; one daughter, Debra Jo Glenn; her parents, Emory Murrell Lock, Sr. and Della Mae Lock; and four brothers: Windsor Lock, Murrell Lock, Bill Lock, and R.G. Lock.

Visitation will be Friday, February 21, 2020 from 9-11 a.m. at the Morocco First United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the Morocco First United Methodist Church with Pastor Wayne Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
