Obituary for Peggy Lou Hoover (Challoner)
Peggy Lou Hoover, 75, of Shelby, Indiana passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. She was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois on May 19, 1945, the daughter of Norman Challoner, Sr. and Eunice (Moomau) Challoner. She attended Lowell High School.
Peggy was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, coloring, reading, shopping, and spending time with her family. She loved worshiping the Lord and attending church at Victory Baptist Church in Roselawn, where she was a member.
She is survived by two sons, Elick Hoover, Jr. and Jamie Hoover, Sr.; two daughters, LouAnn Hoover and Samantha (August) Hough; and seven grandchildren: Steven Hough, Lydia Hoover, Peggy Hoover, Jamie Hoover, Jr., Jeanie Hoover, Autumn Hough, and Raymond Mata.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; five sisters; daughter-in-law Amanda Hoover; granddaughter Brittany Roe; and former spouse Elick Hoover, Sr.
