Obituary for Phyllis Jean Buntain
Phyllis Jean Buntain, 90, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020 at Franciscan Health Rensselaer. She had been a resident at the Rensselaer Care Center the past few years, but was formerly of Fair Oaks, IN.
She was born in Leroy, IN on February 26, 1930, the daughter of George William Tolbert and Iva Loretta (Williams) Tolbert. Her marriage was to Wesley “Bud” Buntain.
Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, ten sisters, and two brothers. Family members left to mourn her loss are two nieces, Joan Johnston of Valparaiso, IN and Della Wittgren of Hanna, IN, and one nephew, Richard Allen of Rensselaer, IN.
Burial will be at Fair Oaks Cemetery at a later date. Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer has been entrusted with the arrangements.
