Obituary for Randall Lee "Randy" Peck

Randall Lee “Randy” Peck, 58, of Rensselaer, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday evening, Sept. 28, 2021 at his home. He was born in Brook on Oct. 3, 1962, the son of Theda (Ratliff) Swartz and the late Robert N. Peck. Randy was a 1981 graduate of Rensselaer Central High School and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a Past Commander of the James A. Moore VFW Post #1279.

On Nov. 8, 2008, he married the love of his life, Deborah Sue “Debbie” Toben.

Randy enjoyed guns, hunting, woodworking and mowing at the farm. He was a car enthusiast and loved his corvette and GTO, and his truck, Tuff ‘Nuff. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Peck of Rensselaer; his mother, Theda Swartz of Rensselaer; his brother, Robert “Bob” Peck (wife Ronelle) of Rensselaer; his in-laws, Allen and Pat Toben of Rensselaer; his sister-in-law, Dayna Toben of Fort Wayne; and his two beloved Great Danes, Jocko and Jewel.

He was preceded in death by his step-father, Lawrence Swartz.
