Obituary for Raymond Yeoman

Raymond  Yeoman
Raymond Yeoman passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, July 23, 2018. He graduated from Rensselaer High School in 1967 and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. On May 22, 1993, in Rensselaer, he married Elizabeth (Hoeferlin) Gifford.

Ray worked as an operating engineer with Local 150 at International Mill Service, retiring in 2005. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Francesville. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Ray is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Yeoman of Rensselaer; two children, Ray (Sarah) Yeoman of Franklin, Indiana, and Wendy (Thomas, Jr.) Kleist of Remington, Indiana; two step-children, Jennifer (Tim) Widner of Rensselaer and Gerald Gifford of Lafayette, Indiana; one brother, Gary (Stacey) Yeoman of Lafayette; four sisters: Susie (Dave) Redmond of Tennessee, Gayle (Mark) Sinclair, Cheryl Wicker, and Patty (Stoney) Nuss, all of Rensselaer; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Emily Yeoman; and two great-grandbabies.

Visitation will be Friday, July 27, 2018 from 9 – 11:30 a.m. (CDT) at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer with Pastor James Ketchen officiating. An inurnment service with military honors will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital.
