Obituary for Stanley Carl Bakley

Stanley Carl Bakley, 72, of Rensselaer, Indiana passed away at his home on Saturday, July 17, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania on September 21, 1948, son of the late Frederick Bakley and Eleanor (German) Bakley. He was a graduate of Parkland High School.

Stan was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, where he worked as a helicopter mechanic from 1969 – 1976 during Vietnam. He had a big heart and helped out a lot of people even though he was fighting through his own battles.

He is survived by his wife, Stacy (Serna) Bakley of Rensselaer, IN; four children: Daniel Bakley and Heather Bakley, both of Las Vegas, NV, David McAdams and Bud (Ashley) McAdams, both of Wolcott, IN; and four sisters: Bernice Frantz, Diane Miller, Louise Krouger, and Virginia Ringer. Eight grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Michael McAdams; and his father-in-law, Bud Serna.

Per Stan’s wishes cremation will take place. Private burial with military honors will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery at a later date. Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.SteinkeFuneralHome.com.
