Obituary for Vernon J. "Junior" Falk
Vernon J. Falk (Junior), Age 93, of Morocco passed away Monday March 20, 2023 at the George Ade Care Center in Brook. Vernon was born on January 8, 1930 in Morocco to Vernon Falk Sr. and Vaneta Falk.
Vernon was a lifelong resident of Morocco, and graduated from Morocco High School in 1948. On October 21, 1950 he married Donna Bennett in Lowell, Indiana. Junior, as most people knew him, worked 25 years for Delano Monuments delivering and installing monuments. After retiring from Delano, Vernon worked for Oakland Cemetery taking care of the grounds and assisting in grave digging, along with pouring concrete foundations for monuments. He enjoyed working on mechanical things, especially small engines. He also loved to drive.
Vernon is survived by his daughter Becky Prouty (husband Max), six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister -in-law Edmere Falk. He is preceded in death by his wife Donna, his son Jeff, his parents, brothers; Richard, Donald and Robert Falk, sister Betty (Falk) Parkes, and granddaughter Chiela Prouty.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday March 27, 2023 at Steinke Funeral Home in Morocco from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM (CST). Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM, also at Steinke Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery.
