Obituary for William E "Bill" Bennett

William E. “Bill” Bennett, 81, of Morocco, passed away at his home on Monday, June 4, 2019. He was born in Enos, Indiana on July 12, 1937, the son of William Bennett and Rosa May (Printy) Bennett.

Bill attended Morocco Schools and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He is a veteran of the Korean War. Bill was united in marriage on April 5, 1958 to Pauline Doty at Morocco Baptist Church. He worked as a crane operator for Loitz Company and was a member of the Local 150 Union Operating Engineers.

He will be remembered for his love of being outdoors. Bill enjoyed taking care of his lawn and living the “small town life” by watching vehicles pass by.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Pauline, two sons: William E. Bennett III (wife Tammy), and Randall S. Bennett (wife Colleen). Also surviving are four grandchildren: Nathan Bennett, Katelyn Carter, Matthew Bennett and Ashlee Bennett; and five great grandchildren: Autumn, Addison, Bennett, Sage and Westlee; and a brother John Bennett. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Friends may visit with the family Friday June 7th from 3:00 until 6:00 PM CST at the Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Wayne Williams officiating. Burial will be held on Tuesday June 11th at 1:00 PM at Oakland Cemetery in Morocco.
