Obituary for Winifred Faye Luttrell (Smith)

Winifred Faye Luttrell, 86, of Goodland, Indiana passed away at her home on Saturday, April 18, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 11, 1933, in Roselawn, Indiana.

On August 20, 1951 she married her husband of 60 years, Elbert T. “Spike” Luttrell. He preceded her in death on May 22, 2011.

Faye was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother. She worked at Per Pak in Foresman for several years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning and baking. She attended the First Apostolic Church in Sheldon, Illinois. She enjoyed going to church and gatherings with family and friends.

She is survived by 10 children: Bob (Theresa) Luttrell of Remington, Betty Glenn (Rodney Schultz) of Sheldon, Illinois, Alice Crosby of Kentucky, Donna Wendel of Washington State, Tom (Cindy) Luttrell of Fair Oaks, Cubie Williamson of Lafayette, Jerry Luttrell (Devon Bruner) of Brook, Margaret (David) Anton of Remington, Judy (Ronald) Cox of Remington, and Josephine (John) Peeken of Wolcott; one brother, Gerald Smith of Lake Village; 32 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elbert; one son, Albert; three brothers, Tom, Bob and David; and two sisters, Nancy and May.
