Audrey Rush

Audrey Rosalie “Rose” Rush, 99, of Morocco, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2010, at George Ade Memorial Healthcare Center in Brook. Rose was a lifetime Mt. Ayr and Morocco resident being born in Washington Township, Newton County on November 5, 1910, daughter of the late James Hoon and Bessie (Sallee) Hoon. Rose was a 1928 graduate of Mt. Ayr High School. On May 2, 1933, she married William Madison Rush. He died September 25, 1972. Rose was a homemaker and attended the E.U.B. Church of Morocco. She belonged to the Royal Neighbors and enjoyed crocheting and visiting with family and friends. 3 sons survive, William E. Rush of Rensselaer, John F. Rush of Brook and Ronald D. (Donna) Rush of Morocco. 3 sisters survive, Mildred Anderson of Brook, Isabel Anderson of Rensselaer and Patricia Tidd of Lebanon, IN. 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren also survive. Preceding Rose in death were her parents, husband, son Dennis Rush, 2 brothers, 4 sisters and 1 great granddaughter. Friends may visit with the family Monday, August 16th from 9:00 A.M. until time of Service at 11:00 A.M. at Steinke Funeral Home Brunton Chapel of Morocco. Pastor Gregory Waggoner officiating. Interment follows at Oakland Cemetery in Morocco. Memorials are suggested to George Ade Memorial Healthcare Center.
