Barbara Chevrette

Barbara J. Chevrette, age 69, of rural DeMotte passed away early Saturday morning, June 7th at her home. She was born in Flint, MI on January 13, 1939, the daughter of the late Archie Prieur and Ruth (Keefer) Prieur. She graduated from the Davisson Michigan Public School and married Wilfred J. Chevrette in Flint, MI on February 1, 1958. Barbara had worked in the Housekeeping Department of Jasper County Hospital for over 13 years retiring in 2006. She is survived by her husband Wilford, a daughter, Deborah A. Botts of Goodland, and a son Kavid J. Chevrette of DeMotte. She is also survived by a brother Gary (Kathy) Prieur of Mobile, Alabama, a sister-in-law, Gail Prieur of Michigan, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Per her request, cremation was chosen. Friends will be received by the family from 4 till 7 P.M. on Wednesday, June 11th at the Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer.
