Bethel Kendall

BETHEL L. KENDALL, age 78 of Morocco passed away June 19th at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka. Bethel was born November 11, 1931, daughter of the late Kenneth and Lovella (Hauser) Starnes. She was a lifetime Morocco area resident and attended the Morocco Public Schools. She married Richard L. Kendall in Lafayette on November 19, 1949. He died May 8, 2005. Children surviving are: Gwenda L. (Rutledge) Morrison (Mrs. Ron), Catherine L. Grant (Mrs. Craig) and Richard Kendall (wife, Linda) all of Morocco, Thomas L. and Penny Freeland Kendall of Montmorenci and James L Kendall of Indianapolis. There are 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Siblings who survive are: James Starnes and Myrtle Fleming both of Florida and Jeanette Hall of Morocco. Friends may visit with the family on June 22nd from 4:00 P.M. until time of service at 7:00 P.M. at Steinke Funeral Home Brunton Chapel in Morocco. Memorials in Bethel’s memory may be made to Newton County Historical Society or to that of donor’s choice. Interment will be at a later date at Prairie Vine Cemetery in rural Newton County.
