Bonnie Graefnitz

Bonnie Graefnitz, 89, of Morocco, passed away Monday, August 26, 2013 in Spencer, Indiana. Bonnie was born July 23, 1924, daughter of the late Harry and Hazel (Holmes) Kellogg. Bonnie attended Jefferson High School of Lafayette. She married Warren Graefnitz November 21, 1948. Bonnie was a Homemaker. She also worked as a secretary for Graefnitz Lumber for 15 years. She attended the Christian Church of Morocco where she also played the organ. Bonnie was part of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Morocco American Legion. She also enjoyed bowling, having coffee with friends and family at Merchant’s Restaurant, and was an avid Bears and Cubs fan. Bonnie is survived by her husband Warren; two children, Lyn Pittman (Tim Bucy) of Spencer, Indiana; Dale (Linda) Graefnitz of Kankakee, Illinois; Three Grandchildren and seven Great-Grandchildren; and sister Mary Alvator. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and two sisters. Friends may call on Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 11:00 until 12:30 p.m. (C.D.T.) with Funeral Service at 12:30 p.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco. Reverend Tom Vance officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Village Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association and Huntington Disease Foundation. Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco is handling the arrangements.
