Charles Liebo

Charles M. Liebo, 66, of Rensselaer, passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012 at his home. He was born in Peru, IN on Aug. 20, 1946, the son of the late Leota (Linback) Hess. On Mar. 15, 1969 he married Regina “Jeannie” James. Charlie had been a mechanic at St. Joseph’s College for 16 years, retiring in 2011. He had previously worked at Sealy Spring and Northway. He was a member of the Rensselaer Moose Lodge, American Legion Post 29, and VFW Post 1279. Charlie enjoyed NASCAR racing, gardening, and visiting with family and friends.

Charlie is survived by his wife Jeannie Liebo of Rensselaer; and two brothers: David Parker and Dick Liebo, both of Henderson, KY. He was preceded in death by his mother and one sister.

Graveside services will be Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens of Rensselaer, with Pastor Fred Nose officiating. Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer is handling the arrangements.
