Clara M. Hammond

Clara M. Hammond, 81, of Morocco, Indiana passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at George Ade Memorial Health Care Center in Brook. She was born in Dickinson, North Dakota on November 25, 1935, the daughter of Joseph and Ethel (Olsen) Weisgerber. She graduated from Thornton High School in Harvey, Illinois.

Clara spent most of her life in Hammond, Indiana. She worked as a keypunch operator for a railroad company and also as a cook for Eisenhower Grade School. She enjoyed gardening and watching television, especially “The Kardashians”.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband William Hammond; and one son, Joseph Ursitti.

She is survived by two sons, Tony (Stacey) Ursitti of Morocco, Indiana and Michael (Connie) Ursitti of Watersmeet, Michigan; five grandchildren: Brittnie, Joseph, Matthew, Max, and Myah; two brothers, Donald and Jeff; and one sister, Marge.
