Daniel Hawkins

Daniel Blaine "Dan" Hawkins, age 26 of Valparaiso, formerly of Shelby, passed away March 29, 2011 at Porter Hospital in Valparaiso. Dan was born in Rensselaer on December 17, 1984, son of Randy A. Hawkins of Brook and Etha M. (Carter) Hawkins of Morocco, who survive.

Dan was educated in the Lake Village and Lowell Schools. He was an avid collector of Thomas The Train memorabilia as well as Scooby Doo and Batman.

Surviving are brothers Henry Hawkins and Eugene Hawkins, both of Brook.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, April 1, 2011 from 12 noon until time of funeral service at 3:00 P.M. at Steinke Funeral Home Brunton Chapel of Morocco. Rev. Royal Voeller officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery of Morocco.
