Deanna Lynn Joseph

DeAnna Lynn Joseph, 68, of Rensselaer, passed away at her home June 20, 2014. She was born in Rensselaer July 16, 1945, daughter of the late Robert Willems and Vera (Perkins) Neeley. She was a lifelong area resident. On July 1, 1967, in Rensselaer, she married Frankie Joseph. He preceded her in death June 23, 1983.

DeAnna was a retail clerk at various local businesses. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She was very active in her church and was a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed baking, cooking, crocheting, reading the Bible and her daily devotions and spending time with her grandchildren.

DeAnna is survived by her loving family: four daughters: Robin (Michael) McDaniel of Wheatfield, Kim Booter (Jim) Woodke of Rensselaer, Wendi (Luke) Atkinson of Michigan, and Samantha (Travis) Peterson of Wheatfield; her ex-husband and best friend Jeff Turner of Rensselaer; three step-daughters: Tiffany (Bryant) Hamm of Alabama, Tonya (OJ) Haimes of Indianapolis, and Kelly (Curt) Hale of Rensselaer; two half-sisters: Sue and Deb; one step-sister, Marsha; 25 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband Frankie; two brothers: Dale and Chuck; and one sister, Betty.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. (CDT) at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer with Pastor Melvin Lane officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
