Debbie A. Baltes

Debbie A. Baltes, 63, of Rensselaer, Indiana passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, November 3, 2024 at Great Lakes Healthcare Center in Dyer, Indiana. She was born in Brook, Indiana November 30, 1960, the daughter of Donald J. and Charlene (Bramble) Miller.

A graduate of Rensselaer Central High School, she was a bookkeeper and office manager at Smith Farm Store in Rensselaer for 45 years. She enjoyed craft projects, flea markets, and tending to her flower beds.

On May 15, 1992 she married Tony Baltes, and he survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Nicole (Scott) Cook; two grandchildren, Jeffry T. Cook and Ruby A. Cook; her sister-in-law, Terri; one nephew, Steve (Jill) Miller; and two nieces, Melissa (Chris) New and Jennifer Becker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlene and Donald Miller, and her brother, Rick Miller.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 3 p.m. until time of funeral at 5 p.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. Private inurnment will take place at Weston Cemetery.
