Deborah Lynn Wood-Fletcher

Deborah Lynn Wood-Fletcher, 58, of Crawfordsville, IN passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East. She was born in Monticello, IN on April 27, 1964 to Melvin Dean Wood and the late Sue Ann (Johns) Wood. She was a graduate of Rensselaer Central High School with the Class of 1982.

Deborah worked in the optical at the Crawfordsville Walmart until her health declined. She did programming and design for the online game “Second Life”. She was affiliated with Christ United Methodist Church of Crawfordsville. She was a talented artist and loved to draw and paint. She also loved literature, especially Shakespeare. She was a gifted writer of many stories, poems and songs.

She is survived by two sons, Matthew Fletcher of Darlington, IN and Nathan (Kayla) Fletcher of Waynestown, IN; her father, Melvin Wood of Rensselaer, IN; two brothers, Brad Wood of Rensselaer, IN and Brian (Julie) Wood of Wolcott, IN; two grandchildren, Genesis and Lillyian; three nieces: Morgan Wood, Breanna Wood (fiancé Logan Plantenga) and Chris Wireman; two nephews, Zach Wood and Clayton Wood; and one great-niece, Elmie.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sue Ann Wood; her paternal grandparents, Leslie and Gertrude Wood; and her maternal grandparents, Donald and Doris Johns.
