Deena Kaye Kopka

Deena Kaye Kopka, 44, of Rensselaer, IN passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Franciscan Hospital Munster, IN. She was born in Danville, IL on September 6, 1979, the daughter of Dennis Kopka and Linda (Early) Kopka.

Deena worked for several nursing homes in the area as a CNA, one of which was Hickory Creek in Winamac, IN. She loved that she could help others. She was also a line cook at Pearly May Diner. She enjoyed listening to music, painting, and drawing pictures. She loved playing and spending time with her granddaughters, and also enjoyed spending time with her pets.

Deena is survived by her sons: Tristainne Wireman of Atlanta, IN and Corriey Kopka-Wireman of Rensselaer, IN; her granddaughters: Camille Joana-Lynn and Sophia Grace-Anne; and one sister, Elizabeth. Also surviving is her fiancé Sean Guerrero. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald Nichols.

Visitation will be Friday, July 26, 2024 from 2:30-6:30 p.m. CDT at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. A Celebration of Life is scheduled following visitation at 6:30 p.m. CDT.
