Donald Rupert

Donald Tyler Rupert, age 21 of rural Rensselaer, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012 in Chicago, Illinois. He was born in Valparaiso on November 8, 1990, the son of J Rupert and Tabitha Wireman Rupert. He attended school in the Kankakee Valley School Corp. Donald was a carpenter who had worked for Don’s Construction for 5 years. He enjoyed playing the guitar and writing poetry. He was also very artistic and he enjoyed painting.

Donald is survived by: his parents J and Tabitha Rupert of Rensselaer; a sister, Natasha Rupert of Crown Point; a brother, Dakota Rupert of Rensselaer; maternal grandfather Donald Wireman and paternal grandmother Betty L. Rupert. He was preceded in death by: his maternal grandmother, Pauline Hayworth and his paternal grandfather, Admiral Dewey Rupert.

Friends may call Tuesday, March 20, 2012 from 9-11 a.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with Pastor Leonard Salyer officiating. Interment will follow at Independence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the family.
