Donna Kay Cady-Martin

Donna Kay Cady-Martin, age 76, of Rensselaer, passed away Monday, October 16th, at her home. She was born, in Morocco, Indiana, on December 9, 1946, daughter of Donald Cady and Juanita (Denton) Cady.

Donna attended Morocco schools and graduated from Morocco High School, in 1965. She had lived in the area over 50 years. On September 27, 2008, she married Ronald Martin, in North Webster, Indiana. Ronald preceded her in death, on July 9, 2013. Donna worked for many years as a licensed hairdresser and office administrator. She enjoyed crocheting, was an avid Chicago Bears fan, a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and past Indiana State American Legion First Lady. She also was a member of the VFW and Eagles Lodge. Donna loved nature and spent many hours enjoying rides through the Slough with family and friends. Affectionately known to many as “Momma D”.

Donna is survived by one son Shawn (Chris) Corbett, one daughter Heather Corbett and one grandson Bradan Corbett. Also surviving are sisters Bonnie (Dale) Crofford, Lois Fox and one brother Larry Cady along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ron, parents, two brothers and one sister.

Friends may visit the family, on Friday, October 20, 2023, at the Steinke Funeral Home, in Morocco from 10:00AM until 12:00PM, with the funeral services following, at 12:00PM, with Pastor Bill Taylor officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oakland Cemetery.
