Donna K. Howell

Donna K. Howell, 69, of Morocco, Indiana passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Franciscan Health Rensselaer. She was born in Watseka, Illinois on February 13, 1951, daughter of the late Arthur V. Howell and Thelma L. (Warrick) Howell. She was a graduate of North Newton High School and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in education. She was a lifelong area resident.

She enjoyed traveling. Her favorite vacations were family trips to Hawaii and Alaska. She loved animals. Donna had a variety of pets and animals that she and her family cared for including cats, horses, cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, white rats, fish, and parakeets. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, puzzles, and shopping.

Donna was a member of the Fellowship of Living Hope in Rensselaer.

Donna was a brave and strong fighter through her 10 year-long battle with her health. Her spunky and snarky spirit was always on the ready if you were close enough to hear it.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur V. Howell who passed away February 10, 2009; her mother, Thelma L. Howell who passed away April 21, 1990; and her brother, Damon Lee Howell who passed away September 23, 2017.

Visitation will be Monday, September 14, 2020 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. (CDT) at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, September 14, 2020 at 12 p.m. with Pastor Edwin Bontreger officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
