Dorothy Lee

Dorothy Lee, age 93, of Rensselaer passed away Monday, April 14, 2008. She was a 1933 Graduate of Rensselaer High School. On April 22, 1934, she married Eldred E. Lee, he died December 11, 1981. She was the Jasper County Recorder from 1973 to 1981, when she retired. She had formerly been employed at the Smart Shop of Rensselaer and the Administration Office at St. Joseph College. She was a former member of the Jasper County Fair Association, past Jasper County Jury Commissioner, Charter Member of the Jasper County Republican Women, past Vice Chairman of the Republican Central Committee, and past President of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #29. Dorothy was a member of the United Methodist Church and will be greatly missed by her many friends, nieces & nephews..
