Eldon Smith

Eldon Arthur Smith, 81, of Enos, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 3, 2013. Eldon was born in Beecher, IL on August 24, 1931, son of the late Arthur and Caroline Albers Smith. He graduated from the Beecher School System and was a U.S. Army Veteran. On February 14, 1958 in South Chicago Heights he married his wife, Florence Collier. She died in 1981. Eldon had farmed for 45 years and enjoyed going to farm sales. Surviving are two daughters, Charlotte (Andrew) Ohlund of Scottsdale, AZ and Lynette (Kerry) Murphy of Austin, TX, grandchildren, Dave and Daniel Ohlund of Kentland, brother, Wayne (Katie) Smith of Tinley Park, IL, and two great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, wife and one brother. Private family services will be held with interment at Oakland Cemetery.
