Fannie Kauffman

Fannie Kauffman, age 90 of Rensselaer, passed away June 19th as a result of an auto accident in Elkhart County, Indiana. She was born in Newton County on September 3, 1918, a daughter of the late Menno and Amanda (Hochstetler) Anderson. She was educated in the Mt. Ayr Schools and had been an employee of Jasper County Hospital in the Housekeeping Department for several years. She was a member of the Burr Oak Mennonite Church. She married Elmer J. Kauffman in Rensselaer on March 20, 1972. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2003. She is survived by daughters, Jeanette (Mrs. Jack) Reimer of Gridley, Illinois and Joella Hays of Springfield, Illinois. Siblings surviving are, Andy (Marilyn) Anderson of Kouts, Indiana, Emma Yoder of Mendon, Michigan, Rosa Lohr of Kentland, Indiana, Millie Miller of New Paris, Indiana, Tillie (Robert) Shank, Sarah Hershberger and Clara Hochstetler all of Goshen, Indiana.
