Flora Ann Estes

Flora Ann Estes, 85, of Clinton, IN, formerly of Lake Village, IN passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the Gibson Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute, IN. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on April 27, 1935, the daughter of Joseph Simanson and Stella (Brown) Simanson.

On May 13, 1955, in Crown Point, IN she married Jim Estes, Sr., and he survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Cindy Estes (Sallia) and Terry Coldiron; two sons, Jim Estes, Jr. and Steve (Kathy) Estes; two sisters, Fay Roop and Anita Peoples; and one brother, Russell (Hatti) Simanson. Six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and her best friend, Judi Avenatti, also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Stella Simanson; one son, Joseph Edward Estes; three brothers: Jack, Joe, and Tom; five sisters: Pat, Stella, Cookie, Evelyn, and Donna; and infant granddaughter Kelly Ann.

Flora was an avid reader who enjoyed gardening, crosswords, board games, music and dancing. She loved her family dearly and was one of the best grandmothers in the world.
