James Mikula

James M. Mikula, 59, of rural Rensselaer, passed away Sunday evening, June 29, 2008 at Jasper County Hospital after an illness of six months. He was born in Gary, IN on November 13, 1948, the son of John and Cecelia (Bialota) Mikula of Grand Junction, CO. He lived in Lake County, IN prior to moving to Jasper County in 1992. On August 23, 1980, he married Cheryl (Bauer) in Highland, IN. She survives. He was a 1967 graduate of Merrillville High School and served his country in the U.S. Army. For 26 years he worked for Calumet Construction of Hammond, IN. He loved living in the country and enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. He will be sadly missed by family and all the friends he had.
