Jayne K. Critser

Jayne K. Critser, 65, of Rensselaer, Indiana passed away January 25, 2023 at her home. She was born in Rensselaer on August 31, 1957 to the late Wallace J. Critser and Ardis K. Critser.

She was a graduate of Rensselaer Central High School, and was affiliated with the Rensselaer Eagles and the American Legion.

Jayne loved spending time outdoors, boating on the Kankakee River, and hunting arrowheads and mushrooms. She was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed tailgating, horse racing, racquetball, golf, softball, and trips to Las Vegas. She never met a stranger and was quick with a laugh or a smile. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her nieces and nephews.

Jayne is survived by two sisters, Kathy (George) Groom and Karen (Jeff) Henady; one brother, Alan Critser; seven nieces and nephews: Heather (James) Hall, Corey (Amber) Groom, Cooper Rollins, Tyler (June) Rollins, Ryan Rollins, Melissa Critser, and Karly (Spencer) Alvey. Eleven great-nieces and great-nephews also survive: Jacob, Hannah, Hilary, Halle, Quentin, Reese, Eli, Beau, Jace, Aubrey, and Remi.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Kay Rollins; and brother-in-law, Bruce Rollins.
