Joyce Annette Latham (Daly), a cherished soul whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025, in Lake Village, Indiana, in her daughter’s home. Born on August 24, 1955, in Evergreen Park, Illinois, to John B. Daly and Glendola I. Daly (Crutchelow). Joyce's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and the simple joys that make a life well-lived.
She graduated from Evergreen Park High School in 1973. Joyce worked as a shipping and receiving clerk at Florida Plastics Intl., and often told stories of the News Agency she worked at before then.
Family was the heart of Joyce's world. She is survived by her loving daughter, Tiffiny Miller (Bill), and her adored grandchildren, Shelby Ruiz (Missael), Molly Bowler, and Everly Miller. Joyce's legacy of love is also carried on by her brothers, John "Butch" Daly (Sharon) and Joseph Daly (Lisa), her sister-in-law, Ruth Daly, as well as many nieces and nephews. Her family will forever cherish the memories they created with her and the lessons she imparted.
Joyce was preceded in death by her dear parents, John B. Daly and Glendora I. Daly (Crutchelow), her brothers Jerry and Jim Daly, her sister Janice Thiel, and her beloved dog Diezel. The family finds comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with them in eternal peace.
Joyce enjoyed tracing her family’s roots, connecting the past with the present, and preserving her heritage for future generations. Her passion for genealogy was matched only by her love for impromptu, loud, and silly singing.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Joyce will remember her for her strength and her love for her family. Joyce’s home was always filled with laughter, love, and the patter of her beloved dog, Diezel, whom she adored as much as her human family members.
Joyce's life was a melody of love and kindness, and her legacy will continue to resonate through the lives of those she loved. Her strong spirit, her unwavering beliefs, and her friendly smile will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Her memory will be cherished and honored by all who were graced by her presence. May she rest in peace, knowing that her love will continue to guide and inspire us forever.
