Judie Carter

Judie Carter, age 62 of Lake Village, passed away unexpectedly December 25, 2009 at her home. She was born December 6, 1947 in Carrier Mills, Illinois to the late Lorander and Bonnie (Johnson) Middleton. She attended the Chicago Heights public schools. On January 7, 1967 in Crete, Illinois she married Johnnie Carter who survives. Judie was a homemaker and had been a resident of Newton County for the past 31 years. Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Gary (Carolyn) Carter of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; daughters Jeri (Ernie) Iliff of Lake Village and Lisa (Leo) Chase of Rensselaer; brothers Jim Middleton of Princeton, Indiana and Johnny (Irene) Middleton of Manteno, Illinois; sisters Loretta Ivey of Manteno, Illinois, Mary (Ernest) Pritchard of Lexington, Tennessee and Linda (Paul) Sellers of Stonefort, Illinois. 3 grandchildren also survive She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Barb Cano. Visitation is from 4:00 P.M. until time of Service at 6:30 P.M. on December 29, 2009 at Steinke Funeral Home, Brunton Chapel in Morocco. Pastor Paul Sellers will officiate services. Memorials in Judie's memory may be made to the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Fund, Stonefort, Illinois
