Judith L. Aubuchon

Judith L. “Judy” Aubuchon, 78, of Rensselaer, Indiana passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 at I.U. Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Judy was born in Gary, Indiana on August 2, 1944, the daughter of Louis A. Scubelek and Helen R. (Jarosz) Scubelek. She was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School.

Her marriage was to Lawrence J. “Larry” Aubuchon. He preceded her in death April 25, 2010.

Judy was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Gary and St. Augustine Catholic Church in Rensselaer. She enjoyed crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, scratch-off lottery tickets, birds and flowers, and watching Blue Bloods on television.

She is survived by one son, Robert “Bob” (Richelle) Aubuchon of Rensselaer; two daughers-in-law, Cindy Aubuchon of Lafayette, Indiana and Rebecca Aubuchon of Kalamazoo, Michigan; one brother, Larry (Linda) Scubelek of Colorado; one sister, Mary Ann (Peter) Pala of Florida; six grandchildren: Ian Aubuchon of Rensselaer, Brandon Aubuchon of Lafayette, Elizabeth Aubuchon of California, Joe (Kristin) Aubuchon of Seattle, Washington, and Rachel and Sarah Aubuchon of Michigan; one great-granddaughter, Eila Rose; and one great-grandson on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Larry Aubuchon; son Michael Aubuchon; brother Louie V. Scubelek; and sister-in-law Nedra Scubelek.
