Kenneth L. "Ken" Lear, age 78, of Rensselaer passed away February 26, 2010 at Regency Place in Lafayette. Ken was born in Parr on October 3, 1931, a son of the late Kenneth S. and Mamie (Goodman) Lear. He was a lifetime Rensselaer resident and attended the Rensselaer Public Schools. He served his county in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Germany. Until his retirement in 1962 he was a crane operator in construction work. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #1279 and the American Legion Post #29 of Rensselaer. There are 2 sons surviving, Russell Lear of Florida and Skinny Pullins of Lafayette and 3 grandchildren along with several great grandchildren. A sister, Faye Siebert of Rensselaer survives. Preceding him in death were a sister and his parents. Per Ken's wishes his body was cremated. He did not want any memorial services to be held.
