It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kent Daniel Sisson of Morocco, Indiana. He left us peacefully on February 15, 2025 with his wife Gail by his side. He was 69 years old.
Kent was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on November 7, 1955. After graduating North Newton High School, he married his high school sweetheart, Gail. Their love resulted in two children, Kelly and Cole.
Kent always was drawn to excitement and adventure. This led to a vast number of hobbies that included: scuba diving, sky diving, softball, traveling, attending grandkids’ school events, and gardening with Gail. Despite all his experiences, nothing surpassed the love/passion he had for his family. Kent lived for his wife, kids, and grandchildren. If you were lucky enough to truly know him, you know there will never be another more genuine/selfless individual than Kent.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gail; daughter, Kelly and husband Kevin Cochran; son, Cole Sisson and wife Jennifer; sister, Christie Smart; brother, Scott Sisson; and grandchildren, Tyler Sisson, Cody Sisson, Gabrielle Sisson, Ty Cochran, and Evelyn Cochran.
Kent was preceded in death by his father, Charles Sisson, and his mother, Norma Herron.
It was Kent’s wish to be cremated with a private gathering for family. The family appreciates all thoughts/prayers as well as respecting their space as they process this loss.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kent’s memory may be made to St. Jude, the Salvation Army, or Santa’s Chefs, P.O. Box 392, Morocco, IN 47963.
Steinke Funeral Home is honored to be handling the cremation arrangements. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.SteinkeFuneralHome.com.
