Kristy Kay Boezeman

Kristy Kay Boezeman, 38, of Lake Village, Indiana passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Franciscan Health Crown Point. She was born in Hammond, Indiana on August 6, 1983 to Ronald and Diana (Miller) Dunn. She was a 2002 graduate of North Newton High School and earned her associate’s degree in accounting from Indiana University Northwest.

On April 26, 2003 she married Derrick C. Boezeman. Kristy was a real estate agent for RE/MAX Executives in DeMotte and Goodland. She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, and she loved to read. She had recently started hunting with her husband.

Kristy loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Living Stones Church in Crown Point. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and she instilled that faith in her children.

Kristy was born to be a mom. She homeschooled her children and was a proud baseball mom who loved to watch her boys play ball. She was the foster parent of upwards of 25 children throughout her career. She truly touched many lives.

She is survived by her loving husband, Derrick Boezeman of Lake Village; her children: Mariah, Kenzee, Preston, Bryson, Breanna, Olivia, and Maddox; two grandchildren, Lyla and Isaac; her parents, Ronald and Diana Dunn of Roselawn; two brothers, Ronald (Jamie) Dunn, Jr. of La Crosse and Michael (Melissa) Dunn of Roselawn; one sister, Stacy (Bradley) Buckley of Kentland; maternal grandmother Georgia Miller of Hobart; her in-laws, Donald and Emma Boezeman of Roselawn; brother-in-law Donald R. (Elizabeth) Boezeman, Jr. of Fishers; sister-in-law Debra Boezeman of San Diego; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Camryn; her maternal grandfather; and her paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 3 – 7 p.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer with Pastor Ron Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
