Lawrence Aubuchon

Lawrence J. “Larry” Aubuchon, 66, of rural Rensselaer, passed away unexpectedly at Jasper County Hospital, Sunday morning, April 25, 2010. He was born May 10, 1943 in Gary, son of the late George L. and Regina Aubuchon. Larry was a 1961 graduate of Tolliston High School in Gary and had resided in this area since 1978. He married Judy Scubelek in 1965. Larry was a laborer with U.S. Steel in Gary, retiring in 2003. He was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed wood working and carpentery. Children are: Robert (Richelle) Aubuchon and Michael (Rebecca) Aubuchon, of Rensselaer; grandchildren are, Ian, Brandon, Elizabeth, Joseph and Rachel, all of Rensselaer. A sister, Gloria (Jack) Collins of Portage, Indiana survives. Preceding him in death were his parents, 3 sisters and a brother. Per family’s wishes, cremation was chosen. The Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer is handling the arrangements.
